Telefilms Group is proud to announce that ‘‘I Daniel Blake’’, recently acquired by Telefilms Group, won the Palme d’Or in Cannes 69th edition.

This incredible movie, directed by British filmmaker Ken Loach, tells the story of an ailing carpenter’s struggle against the bureaucracy of the healthcare system.

On the other hand, ‘‘American Honey’’, another of our acquisitions, won the Jury Prize, considered among the three most prestigious honors at the festival.

Directed by British Andrea Arnoold, the film tells the story of a teenage girl with nothing to lose, who joins a traveling magazine sales crew, and gets caught up in a whirlwind of hard partying, law bending and young love as she criss-crosses the Midwest with a band of misfits.
