Synopsis

After the sudden death of the Supreme Pontiff, Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) is tasked with leading one of the world’s most secret and ancient rituals: the election of a new Pope. As the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders gather in the Vatican, Lawrence is drawn into a complex conspiracy while uncovering a secret that could shake the Church to its foundations.
