The Annual Critics Choice Movie Awards crowned it Best Picture. In addition, its director, Michel Hazanavicius, won the award for best director. However, «The Artist» ended up consolidating its position in the Oscar race by winning its lead with three Golden Globes, including best comedy or musical, best actor for Jean Dujardin and original score by Ludovic Bource.
Finally, «The Artist» received 12 BAFTA Award nominations, more than any other film, including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Director, among others.
