The Hunger Games is the highest opening non sequel in Hollywood history, leaving Alice in Wonderland ($116.1 million) far behind.
In addition, Hunger Games won for its fourth consecutive week in the United States.
After Titanic and Avatar, it is the first film to achieve this mark of 4 weekends in a row.
